APMSS Samatha Gender Resource Centre, Andhra Pradesh: Andhra Pradesh Mahila Samatha Society (APMSS) is a part of the Mahila Samakhya Programme of Government of India under department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. The principle objective of the programme is Education for Empowerment of Women. It is sought to be achieved through village women’s collectives. The ‘Samatha Gender Resource Center’ has been set up to facilitate the process of mainstreaming gender initiatives in various interventions of different organisations and Programmes. It is working as a unit of APMSS with  independent financial status.

CMAO Gender Resource Centre, Orissa: The City Managers' Association, Orissa (CMAO) Gender Resource Centre seeks to empower and professionaly train women elected to urban local bodies; to liaise with other gender organizations in India; and to bring about best practices in urban governance, especially from a gender perspective.

Gender Resource Centre, Gujarat: The Gender Resource Centre (GRC), established in July 2003, is promoted by the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Gujarat to provide support for incorporating gender equity and equality in overall development process and plans of the State. Supported by United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), GRC is aiming at facilitating government departments, NGOs, academic institutions, international agencies and independent experts in planning, implementing and evaluating gender sensitive programs, policies, laws and schemes.

Gender Resource Centre, IIM Ahmedabad: The Gender Resource Centre is a new initiative of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. It seeks to promote effective management of gender concerns with various stakeholders including policy makers, academicians, leaders, managers, entrepreneurs and members of civil society. Its focus areas are gender consciousness and sensitization; gender and communication; gender and issues of governance; gender and social conflict resolution; and gender and education.A project of this Centre is Paycheck India, in collaboration with AILS University, Amsterdam and the Wage Indicator Foundation. It aims to study salary and wage structures, mainly from a gender perspective.

Gender Resource Centre, Kerala: The Kerala GRC is an initiative of the Kerala Social Welfare Department. and is a repository of information on women and gender issues.

Gender Resource Centre, CSR, New Delhi: The Gender Resource Centre (GRC) is an ICCO-supported project taking place in villages in the Chiraigaon Block of Varanasi District, Uttar Pradesh. The program started in 1996 involving 12 villages of Chiraigaon block of Varanasi district and subsequently grew in size and stature to involve 30 villages. The Training and Gender Resource Centre at Varanasi was envisaged as an instrument to bring social, economic, and legal empowerment of women.

Gender Resource Centre, Uttar Pradesh: Seeing the success of women empowerment in the work area of Mahila Samakhya, the Gender Resource Center was visualized in 2001-02 with a view to spread its philosophy.

Pairavi Gender Resource Centre, Bhopal: Looking at the enormity of violence against women at home and outside particularly in the rural areas of Madhya Pradesh, Pairavi Gender Resource Centre was constituted in 2006. It aims to educate women on issues relating to violence against them; to sensitize government agencies; and to take supportive action for victims of violence.

Stree Shakti Gender Resource Centre, Delhi: Project Stree Shakti is an attempt of the Government of Delhi to empower women, specially those belonging to the economically weaker section of the society. It is an integrated capacity building project through ‘Bhagidari’ with NGOs to strengthen the ability of women to participate equally in the mainstream of society. This project has prioritised for intervention in the first instance, three areas which significantly impact the process of empowerment of women. These are : health, literacy income generation.
